Office Chairs

If you spend a good portion of your day sitting at a desk, the chair you sit in really does matter. At Material Things we stock a wide range of ergonomic office chairs built with comfort in mind, and if you're looking for office chairs in Portsmouth, our Farlington showroom is well worth a visit. The range is built around Stressless by Ekornes, a Norwegian brand whose chairs are engineered to move with you rather than hold you rigid in one position. The seat and backrest respond dynamically as you shift throughout the day, offering support that adjusts to your body's natural movements, which makes a real difference if you're working long hours.

Features to look out for include adjustable height, optional armrests, neck support cushions, and the patented Glide and Plus systems that keep your head, neck, and lumbar properly supported as you recline. Many of the chairs in this range come in both high-back and lower-back versions and can be upholstered in a wide selection of leathers and performance fabrics, so you can tailor the look to suit your home office or workspace. They're also worth considering alongside our wider range of Stressless chairs and sofas if you're looking to bring that same quality of comfort into the rest of your home. Our showroom is open Monday to Saturday, so pop in and try them for yourself, because these are chairs that really do need to be sat in to be fully appreciated.
