Details
Canterbury photographed in The Long Gallery at Haddon Hall. The Long Gallery is 110 feet
long and 17 feet wide and would originally have been used as an indoor promenade
allowing gentle exercise whilst remaining under cover. The Gallery would also have been
used for pastimes such as gaming and needlecraft, as well as providing the venue for social
events such as Balls.
